About the GAOYU 2388

The 2388 is a rim lock - the surface-mounted type known in Chinese as a "bull-head" lock. The body sits on the face of the door instead of inside a mortise pocket, so an existing door can be upgraded without cutting a large opening, and the original mechanical lock can stay in place as a backup. A semiconductor fingerprint sensor wakes and unlocks in one touch; password, IC card and mechanical key work alongside it, with an optional module for the card reader. One administrator manages 99 users, and anti-peep virtual passwords let a real code be hidden inside a longer string of digits. Passage mode via the # key keeps the latch open for a period, and one-time passwords can be issued from the mini program for guests or couriers. The outdoor panel measures 168 x 59 mm and the indoor unit 127 x 96 mm, running on four AA batteries with a rated working voltage of 4.5-6.4 V.
